Amana Washing Machine Reviews
Amana produces front load washing machines which carry capacities of 4.0 to 4.5 cu. ft. and are energy star
qualified. The top load washers are slightly smaller with 2.5 to 3.2 cu. ft. capacities.
History of Amana
Since its inception in 1947 Amana has changed ownership several times. The most significant change occurred in
1997 when Goodman Global bought Amana and later sold it to Maytag (now part of Whirlpool) in 2002. The home
appliance section is still owned and manufactured by Whirlpool and the company continues to build a brand that is
competitive and practical.
Amana Washing Machines Features
Amana washing machines have antimicrobial component protection that inhibits odor- and stain-causing bacteria. The
washers also carry multiple cycles which provide more options for washing different clothing types.
With the energy star rating, consumers will conserve 75% more energy and on average the washer will use 72% less
water. In addition the Amana washers can be stacked or placed side by side depending on the consumer's
preference.
Amana Washing Machines Maintenance
Amana offers the Affresh environmentally safe cleaning kit with power puck tablets and grit grabber cloths. The
tablet will remove odor-causing residue. The grit grabber will penetrate and remove odor-causing residue from the
rubber door. This product is designed to reach where the consumer can't to ensure the washer continues to
function at its best.
Amana's Warranty Information
Amana offers a one year limited warranty on parts and labor. Parts are only replaced if a machine fails in normal
home use. There is no fee for the repair or replacement within that time.
