"A Washer That Never Quits"
My husband and I bought our current GE Profile washer/dryer in 1996, almost 15 years ago, and they're still going strong. The washing machine is a simple model, considering its age, with a dial for permanent press or cotton. There are no fancy knobs or features, just an old fashioned washing machine that does the job. There is no detergent dispenser, so I just pour it in the bottom of the washer.
The washer is so old that it doesn't "agitate" the clothes anymore; it just spins them during the wash and rinse cycle, but the clothes come out clean. We aren't ready to replace it just yet, because it still works. We've never had to have it serviced once. I would recommend this product to a friend, but I don't know if current GE Profile products are as good as they used to be. If I could buy this same exact washer again, I would.

"General Electric Wash and Review"
The General Electric Model:WPGT9360EWW is a decent model. I have owned this machine for over 1 year now and does a pretty good job compared to the older GE model I had.
Likes:
Some of the features I like about this particular model is that it has a king size capacity and also has a English/Spanish LCD touchscreen panel with user friendly menus.
Dislikes:
Compared to my older GE this machine uses more than average water than the older model.
Even though I have not had this machine long enough to have a repair done on it I think I am not buying GE again because I know there are much better machines out there now days.

"Review of the General Electric 7 Cycle Washer"
Overall, I am fairly satisfied with this washer. It gets the job done, but it leaves something to be desired. At home, I have a front loading washing machine (Also GE, but unsure of model) that has multiple options for soil level, water temperature, and length of the cycle. This washer, however, only has two cycle options: permanent press and cottons, with three different start locations on each for different soak lengths. More variability in the type of wash cycles would be very helpful. I have not needed it repaired, though I have only lived in this apartment for 9 months, so thats as long as I have effectively owned it. I doubt I would buy this model or recommended it to a friend. It is too old, and there are newer washers out there with more options and more energy efficiency.

"Poorly designed washing machine"
I have owned this washing machine for a little over a year. It washes clothes just fine, but there are some flaws to it. The transmission went out in it 9 months ago, so I got a new transmission for it. About 6 months ago, it started leaking oil all over the floor. I got that problem fixed and have not had any other mechanical problems since then. The dryer is stacked on top of the washing machine, but the washing machine is a top loader. So, the top to the washing machine can only be lifted halfway to put laundry in and pull it out. The machine was designed this way and it has been nothing but a hassle to deal with. I would buy the same brand but definitely not the same product. I trust GE, but this washing machine is awful. I would never recommend it to a friend.

"Great washing machine at a great price"
I bought my first general electric washing machine about 4 years ago and can not say enough good things about it. I didn't have a lot of money to put out for a washing machine when I bought it so it was a very affordable model and turned out to be worth every penny. It is so easy to use, there are three knobs that are very self explanatory. There really is not a single bad thing I can say about the machine. It has been going strong for 4 years and I have not had a single repair yet. Because of how great the washing machine has been, I will continue to buy general electric appliances for throughout my house as needed. I also tell anyone who is asking for recommendations about the high quality it has proved to have. I have high hopes that this machine will last me for years to come as well.

"Energy Efficient, but Breaks Down"
Several years ago (four to be exact), my 1980s washing machine died and went to washing machine heaven, that is, the junk yard. When selecting a new washing machine, I decided that I wanted my new washing machine to be in stark contrast of the old one: for it to never break down, be eighty percent more energy efficient, and to be incredibly quiet. Essentially, I wanted the god of all washing machines. But my budget was tight, so I settled for a General Electric make, and I got, well, General Electric quality. The machine is much more efficient with both water and energy than my old machine, and can handle much larger loads, which makes laundry jobs much quicker. However, the computer system which runs it is always breaking down. Over the past three years, I have had to have a repairman come and tinker with it until it works again about eight times. Thankfully, I have Sears' warrantee, so the price hasn't been too much, but for someone who doesn't want to pay virtual insurance on a device, this isn't a good one to buy.

"Not the best washing machine in the world."
Today, I am going to write about my GE Adora washing machine. I bought this machine 2 years ago because I had to replace my old one. I looked up tons of reviews on Consumer Reports and the GE Adora had the best rating of them all. I received my washing machine and I was so happy that it was energy efficient and had a green rating. Some positives about this machine are that GE is one of the most reliable on the market today. I love that it is pretty much silent when it washes clothes. It has many different types of settings from quick wash to the white color setting which is the longest cycle. There are 5 different water options from cold to sanitize and 4 different types of spin cycles from none too fast. There are a couple of things that I don't like about the washing machine. First off it takes forever to wash clothes. The quick cycle says it takes 45 minutes but I timed it and it took over an hour to wash. Also there is a seal between the door and machine which traps water underneath and gives off a stagnant water smell. I have never had to replace or get anything repaired yet but that will come in due time. I would not recommend this washing machine to a friend because of the time it takes to wash clothes and because of the water problem.

"Washing Machine"
I have owned my washing machine for the past 10 years. It has been very reliable and has never done anything to ruin any of my clothes. I do like the fact that it cleans my clothing with stains that have been there for many days without having to have to soak it prior to the wash. I dislike the color of the washer, being as it is very white and tends to get very dirty after so many years of use. I never had the washer repaired or replaced. The washer was one of the best appliances in my house. I would completely buy the same brand of GE washer again. I have already recommended the washer to friends and I will continue to speak well of the washer. I have only owned this washer and I don't have a long history with other washer. This was because I have previously lived in an apartment and had to bring my clothing to a laundromat. Although, this is the only true washer I have ever owned, it has certainly has been the best.

"My Own Home Laundry Mat"
I have owned my washing machine for approximately ten years. I enjoy doing laundry. I am able to wash large, oversized quilts, heavy duty bed linens, extra soiled apparel with no problems whatsoever. My washing machine is a heavy duty oversized washing machine. I put all the items in the machine that i want to wash first. Then add water. The washing machine regulates the correct water level, so I save on my water bill. I have been very fortunate. I have never had to have any repairs or have I had to replace anything as of yet. If and when I have to buy another washing machine, I will look for a machine that is comparable to the machine that I own at this time. I am constantly bragging to the neighbor's about my washing machine and it's extra cleaning capacity. I definitely recommend my washing machine to anyone. It is so nice to load the washer, sit back in the comfort of my own home, and wait for all my laundry to be washed, knowing it is going to be clean. No trips to the laundry mat form me.

"my ge harmony nightmare"
I have owned my washing machine for 4 years and i payed an extremely large amount for this washing machine and thought that it was well worth the money until a prat went and i tried desperately to find a repair man who knew how to work on this type of washing machine as it has a touch screen when i finally did find a repair man they wanted to charge over two hundred dollars an hour and then the parts were all over priced so needless to say i had to go buy a new washer which i must add was alot cheaper than it would have been to fix this washer when i called general electric to complain about this they could care less about my experience or how costly a part was from their company when i explained that the same part for a different brand of washing machine was significantly less they sayed oh well i was disgusted with the overall experience of owning this washing machine
