"A Very Reliable Machine"
Despite the fact that my washing machine was manufactured in 1992, and the fact that it is a hand-me-down, I would not only recommend it to a friend I am in love with this machine. It does the job well and all settings fully accomidate their specifications. I have a small child who has not yet mastered the art of eating without spilling food on her clothes but this is not really a concern for me with our Gibson.It gets the stains out. Our Gibson sounds like a helicopter when it is running a spin cycle and can be heard from a few houses away but I am able to use it every day with no interruption in function. I would most certainly buy another Gibson when it is time to replace the one we have and would recommend it to anyone needing a full time and durable washing machine. I have had this Gibson in our home for nearly two years and have never had to have any repairs done, nor make any type of adjustment. I can buy the cheapest detergent and our clothes still come out squeaky clean. Other than the helicopter noise the Gibson makes during the spin cycle I cannot complain at all about it. It is great for families who need a durable washer that gets the job done without any fuss or failure. The only problem may be that if it is true that they don't make them like they used to. this washing machine is irreplaceable!
