Haier is one of the largest international manufacturers of home appliances. They produce cooling, cooking, and
laundry appliances, including a large number of washing machines. Their models range in size and come in top
loading, front loading, and compact designs.
Special Features of Haier Washing Machines
Haier's washers have a number of special features. Their top-loading Energy StarŪ qualified Encore™
model agitates clothes rapidly while conserving the amount of electricity used. This model also has a stainless
steel tub and seven wash cycles.
Haier produces three compact models of washers. These are all designed to save space. Their 1 cubic foot Pulsator
washer has a stainless steel tub, three water levels, and a sink adapter. The larger 1.7 cubic foot model has an
LED display, fabric softener and bleach dispensers, and a removable lint filter.
Energy Saving Washing Machines
Haier has two models of washers that are Energy StarŪ Qualified. These both have what they call Dual Drive
technology that uses about half the power and water of most standard washing machines. According to the United
States EPA, using an Energy Star qualified washing machines can save up to $145 a year in utility bills.
