"Great washing machine, small size"
I have had my Haier HLP21N washing machine for almost a year now. I love its small size, which is perfect for my apartment. It was much cheaper than a standard size washing machine, and so much easier to move. I carried it up two flights of stairs on my own. It can hook up to the sink, so it doesn't require your home standard washing machine connections. However, there is also the option of hooking it up to standard connections if your home has them. In the year that I've had it, it hasn't given me any trouble. The only drawback for me is that you can't select different cycles based on what you are washing. You can only choose the water level. I wouldn't recommend it to a large family because of the small size, but I would recommend it to a single person or two people living together. It gets the job done fast and beeps to let you know when it's finished. I would definitely buy this brand again.

"Haier HLP21E Washing Machine"
I LOVE this machine. It's so light I was able to get it up the stairs to my third-floor apartment by myself (and no, I'm not 6-ft tall or muscle-bound), though there was a fair amount of huffing and puffing involved. Washes great - clothes come out cleaner than they do at the laundromat. OK, so you can't wash as many clothes at the same time as you can at the laundromat, but that's not a negative for me - I'd much rather do 5 loads one after the other than have to schlep the same loads down 2 flights of stairs, through the snow, to the car, and to the laundromat, then do the same thing in reverse 2 hours later (especially the stairs bit). The machine spins out a lot of the water, so I just hang the clothes on a drying rack and usually they dry overnight. I did expect the machine to be on casters for portability, but even that's not a problem - I can easily "walk" it over to the sink. The "quick wash" cycle is great and I do a lot of things with that - my son thinks that even if he's worn a shirt for just 5 minutes it needs to be washed - saving $$ on electricity. Considering the amount I used to spend at laundromat, this machine has probably almost already paid for itself in the couple of months I've had it. I read a lot of reviews for this machine before I bought it, and I know some reviewers had trouble with the instruction book and putting the base plate on, but I didn't find it a problem at all, even working on my own and with only a leather man tool screwdriver. So maybe the manufacturer has redone the instructions or reworked the base plate design. One other thing, if you're expecting this to be as convenient as a plumbed-in full size washer with all the bells and whistles, you're going to be disappointed. It takes a little more work to use this machine, but it sure as heck beats the laundromat.

"A portable washing machine from hell itself"
I bought this machine because it's a portable cheap washing machine that doesn't take up a lot of space. While the machine is small and easy move about I found it far too easy to accidentally tip over. Ever time this happened water would go all over the place and in the end it really put a lot of stress on the machine and fried. Besides this terrible design flaw the machine worked well and was easy to use. Would I buy one again? Only if they had a locking mechanism

"A nice washer for the single person"
Hey I want to tell you all about my washing machine. The people who make this washer is Haier and it will hold about 1 cubic foot of laundry. It's not really meant to deal with large loads but okay for me. It will wash about 3-4 days of clothes, which is fine for just me. It's small enough to fit under my sink. It's really meant to be used as a portable unit but I use it as a stand alone washer. The washer is pretty quite so you don't have to worry about the sound. The controls are pretty easy to use so you don't get confused. The newer washers have way too many settings sometimes. If you were going to ask me if I would recommend this washer to anybody. I would tell them, if your only washing for 1-2 people, then it would work great. If you have a family, I would not tell you to get it. Over the last 6 months I have had it, I have no issues with it.
