Review:
"Incredibly efficient washing machine"
I purchased my Staber washing machine in 2002 from bigrfrogmountain.com. I was attracted to the promoted features of the least amount of electricity consumed and water required per wash cycle for any commercially available machine on the market. Using a kill-o-watt meter, I've confirmed the efficient use of electrical power for the machines operation. Water use is indeed very efficient. It is something I would absolutely encourage anyone to have and use. The machines design makes it possible to run one's home off-the-grid, important for anyone the seeks to generate their own electrical power. I have been and continued to be impressed with the quality of the cleaning capability of the machine. I am also pleased that the repairs that have needed to be done have been something the company either provided easy to follow written instructions with the parts or talked me through the process over the phone. I've had to replace the switch motherboard, lubricate the drum spindle, and clean-out the pump to remove stuff that didn't get taken out pockets before laundering. Being able to complete the repairs and maintenance without the requirement for a service tech and their fees, is certainly rewarding, encouraging, and appreciated. The only nit-picky dislike is the operation knob comes off easily, but big deal. All the other wonderful attributes far outweigh any concerns and criticisms in my book.

"sales"
This machine has some good points but is not reliable and the manufacturer does not do any repairs. You have to do it yourself.the parts are mostly cheap plastic that breaks when you look at it cockeyed.
